These quotes below from some amazing leaders sum up how I am feeling as we venture into the second half of this League year.
Nominating is hard at work developing the Slate of Officers for the 2024-2025 League year. Many conversations leading up to, during deliberations, and now as they finalize the list, have centered around who is ready to lead. Members have been asked to ponder and consider these questions:
We should take a moment and acknowledge the decades of women before us who made the decision to believe in themselves and lead, leaving an impact on members and the community.
They say you become like the people you spend the most time with and to spend time with a Junior League woman is a true gift! Being together for the General Membership Meetings each month is the ideal way to do that. With that in mind, we will be holding the March 5th GMM in person only at the Tripp House. The training and activities for this meeting will be interactive and help you get to know your own and each other's leadership style, practice your "elevator pitch" when talking to others about the League, and to be in community with each other and reconnect as a membership!
Food will be provided (more from arrangements as we get closer to March) and we will be voting to accept the newly created Code of Conduct presented at the February GMM. I ask you to please make arrangements to be at the meeting in person and if not to submit your meeting waiver timely.
And now as you scroll, enjoy getting to learn about our amazing New Member Class, their fundraising project, and the Food Drive Community Event happening for the month of March.
We may be a small league in size but mighty in heart and impact!
Thank you for ALL you do!
